Projects

A selection of infrastructure, automation and software work. Some details are left out where the work belongs to an employer or client.

Kubernetes Infrastructure

Status

Building and operating Kubernetes and K3s clusters for containerized applications and their supporting services.

Cluster setup and day-to-day operation for containerized workloads, covering networking, ingress, persistent storage and application deployments.

Add the environment, scale and your role in this project.

  • Cluster provisioning and upgrades
  • Ingress and TLS with NGINX and Cloudflare
  • Persistent storage with Longhorn and object storage with MinIO

  • MinIO
  • Cloudflare

CI/CD Automation

Status

Automated build, test and deployment pipelines that make releases repeatable and reduce manual steps.

Pipelines that build container images, run tests and deliver applications to their target environments.

Add the systems these pipelines serve and the results you can share.

  • Container image builds and versioning
  • Automated tests on every change
  • Environment-based deployments
  • Shell scripting for operational tasks
  • GitHub Actions
  • GitLab CI/CD
  • Git
  • Docker
  • Shell Scripting

Monitoring & Observability

Status

Metrics, dashboards and centralized logging to understand how systems behave and find problems early.

Metrics collection and alerting combined with a centralized logging pipeline for applications and infrastructure.

Add the environment and what this setup monitors.

  • Metrics and alerting with Prometheus
  • Dashboards in Grafana
  • Log shipping with Fluent Bit
  • Search and analysis with Elasticsearch and Kibana

Frame Platform

In Development

Backend, admin panel and deployment setup behind the Frame iOS application.

A containerized backend for the Frame app: a .NET API with PostgreSQL, Sign in with Apple and Google, a content catalog and an admin panel for managing compositions and users.

Services run as Docker containers and are deployed from a Git repository.

  • REST API built with .NET and PostgreSQL
  • Sign in with Apple and Google token validation
  • Admin panel for content and user management
  • Docker images and automated CI
